Radon Evaluation For Commercial/Residential Properties

Site ImageRadon testing is a process of measuring the amount of radon gas present in a building. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer. It is produced by the decay of uranium in soil, rock, and water. Radon can seep into buildings through cracks in the foundation, walls, or floors. The only way to know if your home has high levels of radon is to test for it. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends that all homes be tested for radon, regardless of geographic location or type of construction.

Radon testing can be done in two ways: short-term and long-term tests. Short-term tests are usually conducted for 2-7 days and are used to determine if further testing is required.Long-term tests are conducted for more than 90 days and provide a more accurate measurement of the average radon level in a building.
